Manifest “Els premis de la vergonya”
Companyes i companys, com cada any, tenim a la tardor el lliurament dels Premis Princesa. Un esdeveniment que ens causa repulsa, perquè des d’una Fundació caduca i corrupta es busca donar prestigi i rentar la imatge a una altra institució més caduca i corrupta encara, la monarquia. Cada any tenim a Oviedo la desfilada del capital, dels que exploten la classe treballadora. A prop, però a una distància prudent, hi ha el poble vassall que aplaudeix, i cada vegada més apartats, i en un espai més reduït, el poble lluitador que protesta. I cada any es dóna el debat sobre la conveniència o no de la protesta, el suposat prestigi que dóna la talla de les persones premiades ....
Aquests premis han estat sempre objecte de polèmica, però aquest any es fa especialment necessària la contestació social davant l’entrega del premi a la Concòrdia a la UE. Una UE que està permetent i promovent un genocidi a les seves portes.
En el patronat de la Fundació Princesa estan les grans fortunes d’aquest país, alguns dels més directes responsables de la crisi econòmica, els desnonaments de famílies, l’estafa elèctrica, les retallades de serveis públics i la deslocalització d’indústries espanyoles. L’empresari Villar-Mir, imputat pel cas Lezo i els suborns al PP estan recollits en els anomenats Papers de Bárcenas, Sol Daurella, propietària de l’embotelladora de Coca-Cola, que va tancar la seva planta a Astúries tot i tenir beneficis, Fernando Masaveu , evasor fiscal que figura a la llista Falciani, i un llarg etcètera d’integrants de l’oligarquia que fan d’aquesta institució la Cort de l’IBEX 35.
L’anàlisi de les mesures preses per la UE envers les víctimes de les guerres, la misèria provocada en la majoria dels casos per les polítiques de l’FMI, etc, exigeix la retirada i el total rebuig al Premi Princesa d’Astúries de la Concòrdia a la UE. Aquest premi, es concedeix als que desenvolupen una tasca que “contribuesca, de manera extraordinària ia nivell internacional, a la defensa i generalització dels drets humans, al foment i protecció de la pau, de la llibertat, de la solidaritat, del patrimoni mundial i, en general, al progrés de la humanitat “.
Però aquesta és la realitat:
• 65 milions de persones s’han vist obligades a abandonar les seves llars, fugint dels seus països en guerra, davant d’una Europa que no resol sinó que afavoreix aquests conflictes fabricant i venent armes.
• El Mar Mediterrani i les fronteres europees són fosses comunes on milers de persones perden les seves vides per culpa dels governs europeus que els neguen els seus drets impedint entrar per les fronteres, incomplint la legislació internacional.
• Violentes accions policials i militars contra les persones que demanen refugi a les fronteres.
• Desaparició d’almenys 10.000 menors en territori europeu a mans de les xarxes de tràfic o les violències basades en el gènere a dones i nenes.
• Més de 72.000 persones romanen atrapades a causa del tancament de fronteres amb tanques de filat i la lentitud per part dels governs per complir amb les obligacions de donar asil i refugi als que tenen dret a ell.
És clar que premiar la UE és premiar el botxí. Hi ha raons suficients per qualificar com una absoluta vergonya la concessió del premi de la Concòrdia a la Unió Europea. Resulta indignant i insultant que es faça aquesta distinció a la institució que incompleix les seves obligacions segons la legislació internacional, que li nega els seus drets a gent que fuig de la mort i la guerra.
El nostre rebuig a una UE que utilitza l’Ajuda Oficial per al Desenvolupament com a mitjà per imposar polítiques de control de fronteres i com a instrument de xantatge als països d’origen.
Dels milions de persones refugiades de guerres, misèria induïda, canvi climàtic, persecució per idees o opcions sexuals, que van fugir per salvar la vida, els Governs membres de la UE fa dos anys van acordar, que només deixarien entrar a 160.000. Tampoc ho han complert, Espanya només ha deixat passar a 1.980 persones.
Aquesta és la Concòrdia de la UE a la qual premia una Fundació dirigida per l’oligarquia i representada públicament per un Rei que negocia amb els culpables de la misèria, el terrorisme i la deshumanització.
Ens sembla que és una provocació fer aquesta distinció a la institució que posa filats i tanca fronteres, a la qual imposa reformes laborals, retallades de serveis públics i asfixia els pobles per pagar el deute. Per això aquest any la veu del poble ha de sonar més fort que mai, totes i tots hem de manifestar el nostre rebuig i repulsa a aquest premi. El nostre rebuig a una UE que lluny de fomentar la solidaritat dels pobles, ha creat una Europa desigual, insolidària i cruel amb els pobles i generosa i submisa amb el capital.
